William Afton, the personification of evil!
Who is William Afton?
A really controversial character, William Afton, is the co-founder of Fazbear Entertainment. Still, we also find him in the series Five Nights at Freddy’s.
William is also the founder of Afton Robotics and, surprisingly, a serial killer who was more or less connected to everything that happened negatively in that series.
Physical appearance
What strikes William Afton in the first place is his mouth, which always seems to have a really sadistic smile, and his split chin fits him perfectly.
But not only this physical detail is characteristic of him, but also the fact that we are dealing with a tall man, rather weak than muscular, with a rather long neck. He wears something on his chest that looks like a badge, and in his hands, he wears something purple. It is unclear whether it is a tool or a weapon.
Age of William Afton it’s just a simple young, maybe age of 20s.
Thanks to his own will and some supernatural elements, William can deceive death and will always be superior to him.
Incarnation
William has several incarnations throughout the series, the first of which is Springtrap. The suit he is wearing now has a rather depressing, olive color, with some darker shades on the inside of the ears and on the stomach. Much of his right ear is non-existent, and his body is torn to shreds, with many holes and wires in sight. These make it look quite macabre.
Its limbs are easily recognizable, especially the legs that appear detached from the tibia downwards and its endoskeleton is completely visible. Springtrap is known for always having a wide grin that does not leave his face. The eyes are the ones that give you a lot of cold shivers down your spine, because you can see a lot of blood vessels inside them. The fact that sometimes they seem to shine makes you think that William is alive due to a paranormal event.
Scraptrap
As in the case of Springtrap, when it comes to Scraptrap, we are dealing with a rabbit, yellow in color but with a much more damaged appearance. We notice holes all over your body, many wires sticking out, and your upper jaw scares you. Also, let’s not forget the lack of ears, which makes Scraptrap as a whole not very pleasing to the eye.
The main difference from Springtrap is that now we have to make an almost human interior, with flesh and skeleton without a metal frame. However, his eyes no longer have that glow, and they are the ones that make you think of something metallic, and cold.
Glitchtrap
This time we are dealing with a kind of digital manifestation of William Afton and he made his presence felt for the first time in Five Nights at Freddy’s.
It looks like a kind of rabbit walking on two legs, with an unmistakable grin, and its color is now golden yellow. When it first appears, it is quite translucent, but as things evolve, its shape becomes less and less spectral.
In all of William Afton’s incarnations, the eyes seem to be the main element.
Glitchtrap has purple eyes with small pupils, which change color to blue.
Burntrap
This incarnation is noticed only in Afton’s Ending. We are dealing with an old suit, quite ragged, of uncertain color, something between brown and green.
The look will not appeal to you, but we are already used to it. The eyes are black, and metallic, and we recognize the small, purple pupils. There is no fur, but many parts of his body are downright charred.
William Afton’s personality
Although he is not fairly easy to read, you may notice many of William’s character traits.
If a comprehensive definition of evil were to be given, then it would certainly be William Afton.
He was a serial killer, characterized by sadism and depravity, which even led to the collapse of his own company.
He was also able to kill almost 12 children without any remorse.
We certainly have nothing to do with a character tormented by remorse for his actions, being able to even kill Henry’s daughter, his closest person, and at the same time, his business partner. In fact, it is clear from all his actions that he has no qualms about harming those around him, including his friends, from all points of view.
William Afton real life
In real life, Wiliam Afton is just a simple man, but you have to know that he is a fictional character from the FNAF game series.
Crude and sadistic
Not only does he seem to find real pleasure in killing his victims, but William also impresses negatively with the smile that always accompanies him. A crime is a source of satisfaction and pride for him, and it does not matter that those who fall prey to his criminal instincts are innocent people or children.
The fact that he was never convicted for the atrocities he caused made him arrogant and far too boastful in his confidence. He really wants his victims to show their fear and respect for him before he kills them.
How did William Afton die?
Fear of death
Surprisingly, William is terrified of his own death.
Even in Five Nights at Freddy’s 3, we see him shudder with fear when he has to deal with the revenge-hungry ghosts of his victims.
Therefore, William’s desire to live is very strong, and he wants to always survive. “I always come back” are the words that best characterize him.
However, he is also aware that hell is the punishment that awaits him for his deeds, and he does everything in his power not to get there too soon.
Equally controversial is William’s relationship with his daughter Elisabeth, Michael. Undoubtedly, a character that you can not appreciate, being the pure essence of evil.
