Eren Yeager, the man or the Titan?
Eren Yeager is a former member of the Surveillance Corps, best known for being the main character in Attack on Titan.
Who is Eren Yeager?
Until the fall of Wall Maria, when her mother was devoured by a titan, Eren lived with her parents in the Shiganshina district.
The death of his mother, under the conditions stated above, made Eren hate all the Titans, whom he swore to annihilate completely. Shortly afterward, her father gave her the task of resuming Wall Maria and even injected her with a Titan serum.
Along with Mikasa Ackerman and Armin Arlert, in 847, Eren joined the 104th Training Corps, being among the best. After the battle of Trost district, the three joined the Survey Corps.
Eren finds the basement and unlocks his father’s memories, thus learning the truth about the Titans.
However, now Eren’s promise changes, and he realizes that the real enemy is not the Titans but the rest of humanity, who lives across the ocean.
Physical appearance of Eren Yeager
Physically, Eren is very much like his mother. Her face is long and slightly rounded, with large eyes and great expressiveness.
He did not stand out too much in height, having an average constitution, which changed a lot after his training as a soldier.
Although his body has become full of muscles, this is not easy to notice because he dresses a lot in loose clothes.
When Eren is introduced to us for the first time, he wears a classic, urban outfit: a green shirt with tassels around the neck, brown pants, and a coat of almost the same shade, but also simple shoes.
Her outfit was completed by a black scarf, which she gave to Mikasa Ackerman.
While in the Survey Corps, her outfit was represented by their traditional uniform.
His clothing style can be characterized as quite light, with a long beige shirt, white pants, and brown boots, but he never lacks the key he received from his father, which he keeps on his neck, hung on a string.
Eren, the attacking titan
When he turns into an attacking Titan, Eren’s appearance is no longer what he’s used to. He grows 15 cm tall, and his hair, tongue and ears are lengthened. His nose is shaped like a hook, and his eyes have sunk deep into their sockets. It also impresses the shape of the mouth, a serrated one, without lips, and has no cheeks.
Personality
Eren is quite impulsive, and this is often seen in countless situations.
He really wants to protect the others, to get rid of the Walls, and when his mother is killed, he is simply torn by grief.
The feelings that bind him to family members and friends are strong, and he often risks his own safety in trying to protect them.
Capable of great deeds, full of compassion, but less empathy
Eren’s personality is not one to be characterized by a calm one. On the contrary, he is brave, so much so that he seems completely unconscious – which often makes him have trouble, and for him, the world is painted only in black and white.
There are no intermediate colors.
Although he still has great compassion, empathy is not exactly his strong point.
On the contrary, he can be characterized by selfishness because he thinks his judgment is the best.
When Eren swears to completely annihilate the Titans, our first impression is that of enormous courage, doubled by great self-confidence.
In fact, he still has many uncertainties and distrust of his own strength.
Do not hesitate to blame yourself when something goes wrong; this was best highlighted when it came to the death of the operations team, especially because of the Titan Woman and not only.
His friends are the ones who are with him and make him come out of many such problems of conscience.
In a permanent evolution
Like many other characters, Eren is constantly evolving. Thus, he gives up revenge against the Titans when he learns that, in fact, they are people who have been forced to transform.
Perseverance, determination and strength are among the qualities of Eren that make him highly appreciated by many, to which is added his charisma and talent to utter some speeches that attract those around him. Eren’s progress is also evident in his tactical and analytical fighting skills.
The calm that characterizes Eren proved very useful when infiltrating Marley. It seemed unwavering, no matter the situation, even when Koslow was harsh with the Eldian soldiers.
The end justifies the means
It may seem like a harsh statement, but for Eren, the proverb “purpose excuses the means” even applies, and he is capable of many facts that would seem reprehensible. He even killed dozens of Eldian civilians, including children, whom he considered a kind of collateral damage to the attack or a surprise attack on Willy Tybur.
The time spent in the war was not easy, and it affected Eren quite a bit mentally.
However, he can still smile and show compassion and many features that show that he is not completely dumbfounded.
Many fans of Attack on Titan believe that Eren represents us all, for better or worse, and that’s why I feel so close to their souls. However, his reactions and attitude are not so judged because they seem fully justified!
